After the initial success of promoting Saudi female artists, contemporary talents from all over the Kingdom were keen to join and exhibit their works. Before long, Lahd Gallery began its initial role in organising the debut of Saudi artists to an international art scene , these included both genders and artists such as Abdulnasser Gharem.

The exhibition ‘A Spectrum from the Kingdom’ initiated its tour around the Gulf with Kuwait being the first to sponsor Lahd Gallery at Dar Al Funoon.

From there, the exhibition went to Bahrain where it was endorsed by the Minister of culture Sheikha Mai Bint Mohammad Al Khalifa.

Followed by Qatar and the UAE, where (ironically) the contemporary art scene was scarce and mostly championed by western galleries and foreign talents.

Finally ‘A Spectrum from the Kingdom’ had its grand finale at the Omani society of Fine Arts in cooperation with the Ministry of Heritage and Culture.

Although Lahd Gallery was resolved in the exchange of contemporary art between Saudi Arabia and its neighbouring countries. The initiation of a different genre of exhibitions in the Kingdom continued.

From contemporary calligraphy to political cartoonists with a workshop for young children and a promotion of light photography in between, Lahd Gallery became one of the few spaces where local MENA contemporary art could be appreciated and evaluated in all its forms.
